USHJA Green Hunter Regional Championships

On Point and Annie Walters

What an amazing week we had at the annual NCHJA Annual Horse Show in Pinehurst, North Carolina! Such a beautiful show with a nice turnout and divisions full of horses from throughout the East Coast.

On Point qualified for the USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Regional championship and laid down two lovely rounds, earning him 11th place overall and a nice paycheck! He also had some impressive ribbons in a huge 3' Green Hunter section with scores in the 80s.

This championship was our goal for him for the 2022 show season, his debut year in competition. We are thrilled with his achievements and how far he’s come since he competed in his first show in December.

“Sunny” has become a show ring veteran after just five events, and we’re so proud of his bravery and his quiet demeanor, a rare combination for a horse in his first year of competition. He literally walks from the stall to the show ring without a morning prep (other than carrots!).
